When you execute a beat on a percussion instrument, the movement can be used to modify the consciousness and the consciousness to modify the movement as well. That is to say to obtain a clean and powerful sound you have to pay attention to the arms, fingers and hands movements and where the impulse to beat the instrument comes from. That’s why the teacher has to guide the pupil though the knowledge of his or her own loco motional potential through instructions associated to movements. Besides the teacher offers new alternatives to improve he pupil ability. The suggestions that are registered by the brain are used to modify not appropriate execution patterns acquired by the pupil who saw other musician playing and wants to imitate them. This leads to a defective technique. The experience acquired during the different stages of learning are learnt by heart modifying habit and creating new movement patterns. The benefits that you obtain through an appropriate execution psychology are:

Avoiding the pain changing bad movement habits.
Eliminate the contraction and shortening of our muscles, offering freedom to the movements.
Acquisition of a better knowledge of sensations starting from muscles, skeleton, organs and biological functions.
Discovery of the application of gravity laws and the better use of skeleton as a structure of movements
Learning to focalize the attention on how we do or make things and not only on the achievement of our aims but in the present
Discovery of the pleasure of movement taking consciousness of the possibilities and abilities we don’t usually use.
Improving of the posture, movement in a state of relaxation and consciousness.
Acquisition of flexibility, coordination and efficiency on movements.
Reduction of the physical, emotional and mental tension and tiredness
Increase of the neuromuscular performance
Development of the attention, sensibility and coordination.
Increase the body control by showing the possibilities of its expression acting with mental flexibility, spontaneity, imagination and creativity
Communicate to their musicians through musical and body language, using time and space tools and emotional and affective ones too.
Being able to perceive or receive external stimulus reacting and responding with different personality aspects.
In conclusion this method wants to obtain an organized body to move efficiently with little effort improving the conciousness of the motional sensorial system instead of using the muscles power.
